    A technician-technologist is an experienced biologist who has learned the secrets of life, the laws of nature, and a smart organizer who knows all the techniques of animal husbandry down to the last detail, understands issues of economics, organization and remuneration of labor, and is a skilled manager who is able to organize, direct and control the work of the work collective of a structural unit. They, technicians-technologists, introduce scientifically based and cost-effective methods and systems of keeping, feeding, breeding, growing and using different types of animals and poultry into production. 

    A solid foundation has been created in the Republic of Belarus for the further development and intensification of animal husbandry.

    A technician-technologist is a specialist who knows the biological characteristics of farm animals and the basics of standardized feeding, uses modern technologies of keeping and methods of selection and breeding work, ensures that animals produce high productivity with minimal costs for their maintenance, and knows how to organize the production and sale of livestock products.

     Пралятаюць над зямлёй вякі, а сялянскаму роду няма пераводу, бо селянін корміць хлебам увесь свет. Пакуль на зямлі ёсць селянін-працаўнік - будзе хлеб, будзе жыццё!

It is to them, people by profession "agronomists", that we should be grateful for the fact that we walk on the earth, breathe, admire the blue sky, green carpets of meadows, endless expanses of golden grains...

It is not for nothing that people say that although the grain is born golden, it is not easy to turn it into gold without great effort. Working in agriculture means giving the land the warmth of your hands, care, putting your soul and talent into your favorite business, which has become the meaning of your whole life. An agronomist is our pride, capital that we value and protect! 

An agronomist is a profession that combines the passion of a gardener, the foresight of a doctor and the creative inspiration of a teacher.

Today, the department has more than 250 students, 12 highly qualified teachers, 1 of whom is a candidate of agricultural sciences, 2 have the highest category, 3 laboratory assistants with higher education, including our graduates.

The department of "Maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery" is the base for training highly qualified technicians-mechanics, ensuring the rhythmic work of two main branches of agriculture: crop production and livestock farming. Over 43 years, the department has trained 2799 specialists. Today, 175 students are studying at the department, mainly natives of the Gomel region. The training of technicians-mechanics is conducted by 11 teachers, 45% of whom have the highest and first qualification category. V.D. Danchenko has been working at the college for more than 30 years. A great contribution to the training and education of the younger generation was made by M.V. Bely, V.E. Kovalenko, V.A. Vergey, G.M. Turchina, T.S. Demyankova, M.F. Pivovarov, S.A. Safronova, V.P. Zhichko, who are on a well-deserved rest. 

Grain by grain, Luntsevich A.I., Mitskevich V.I., Gubar A.N., Tarabanko A.S., Britsun N.P. pass on their rich life experience to the youth, focusing on the education of a future specialist, patriot, family man. 

For many years, students of the department have won prizes in regional and republican competitions of professional excellence. 

- 2021 academic year, a competition in the specialty "Technical support of agricultural production processes" was held at the Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University. Among students of educational institutions implementing educational programs of secondary specialized education, a team of college students took 1st place, including student Vratil M.V. took 2nd prize place in the individual standings.

- 2022 academic year, the college team took 3rd place in the competition in the specialty "Technical support of agricultural production processes" among students of educational institutions implementing educational programs of secondary specialized education; 

- in the team championship of the republican review-competition "Best Plowman" among students of educational institutions, the college team took 2nd place; 

- in the regional stage of the professional skills competition "WordSkills Belarus-2023" in the competence "Operation of agricultural machinery", a student of the department took 3rd place; 

- in the regional competition "Energy Marathon" - 1st place; 

- in the republican competition "Energy Marathon" in the nomination "Project of practical measures for energy saving" - 3rd place.

- 2023 academic year, the Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University held a competition in the specialty "Technical support of agricultural production processes" among students of educational institutions implementing educational programs of secondary specialized education, the team of college students took 2nd place. 

For high-quality training of future specialists, there are 20 classrooms and laboratories equipped with modern teaching aids with unlimited access to the Internet; educational and industrial workshops for undergoing educational practice "To obtain the qualification of a worker". 

Continuous connection of training with production is ensured due to the close connection of the college with the basic organizations of the agro-industrial complex of the region for students to undergo industrial practices. Among these organizations are 11 agricultural organizations of the Kalinkovichi district. 

Labor dynasties are one of the many glorious traditions of our department. Now the children of the first graduates proudly study at the college.

The teaching staff of the department carries out a lot of work to strengthen, update and improve the material and technical base of the college. New modern energy-saturated tractors "Belarus-3522", "Belarus-2102", "Belarus-1522" have been purchased. The laboratories have modern educational stands, multimedia tools for studying the structure of agricultural machinery, units, tractors and cars.

The teachers of the department are constantly working to improve their professional skills, introducing modern pedagogical technologies into the educational process.
